Harrison Crane has a long history of working at the Orange Bowl
--Harrison Crane put on the upper deck in the early 50's, put together the
stage for concerts such as the Madonna concert in the 80's, and put up
the last new scoreboard. All of the crew at Harrison Crane are die-hard
'Cane fans, so news that this would be the last year the 'Canes played
at the OB hit all of us hard. We were happy, however, to be called
upon to help out with the final game at the stadium which gave us so many
cherished memories. The sound system at the OB was not working well
and they wanted to have a new temporary sound system in use for this
final game. Harrison Crane was called in by Pro Sound to hoist and hold a
large bank of speakers on each side of the scoreboard. These speakers
weighed about 5000 pounds and were held up for all to hear. Everything
went off without a hitch.....if only the 'Canes would have played
better it would have been a great night!!
